Driver found guilty of reckless driving in double fatal wreck

EFFINGHAM CO., GA (WTOC) -

A jury finds a 20-year-old Springfield man not guilty on all counts except reckless driving for a 2010 crash that killed two teens in Effingham County.

Robbie Stone was charged with two counts of first-degree vehicular homicide, reckless driving and failure to maintain a lane in connection with the deaths of Whitney Newman and Neil Morgan, who were both 17 years old at the time of the crash.

Stone, along with three teenage girls, were injured in the wreck. 

The sentencing hearing is scheduled for next Thursday at 9 a.m.
