BLUFFTON, SC (WTOC) -
The Bluffton Firefighters Auxiliary were spicing things up Sunday at the Bluffton Fire Department.
They held their annual chili dinner to help raise money to support the fire department.
Throughout the year the auxiliary provides much needed drinks and snacks for first responders on serious incidents and calls as well as other helpful things. Organizers say it's the least they can do for the firefighters.
"We have an excellent group of firefighters and they are here to serve our community and they do that very well and so we would like to return that favor and support them as much as we can." said Leslie Jones Hart, President of the Bluffton Fire Auxilary.
Visitors were also able to tour the fire station and check out the fire engines after their meals.
