SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -
The actual St. Patrick's Day is
one week from today, and business all around downtown Savannah are getting
ready for the huge crowds.
Employees at the Byrd Cookie company
are especially excited because they've only been at City Market since October
of last year, meaning this will be their very first St. Patrick's Day.
"We
hope to see a lot of traffic, which i think we will," said Marsha Jones. We
don't open until noon, but we're going to be here from noon to six on Saturday."
If you're looking for more than
cookies, you can head to the Boar's Head Grill and Tavern. Employees there say
they are looking forward to another busy St. Patrick's Day weekend.
Jamie Lavin says "we have special
drinks that we're going to be running and that kind of thing. We have barbeque
that we run every year that's amazing and it's going to be really good,
yeah."
