SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -
The Coastal Jazz Association held a concert Sunday evening, "Bass-ic Instincts" featuring the Phil Morrison Trio.
Phil Morrison learned to play the drums while serving with the US Air Force in Japan, but after he was discharged he turned to the base as his instrument of choice.
Organizers say they try to bring a variety of jazz musicians to the Savannah area.
"We either feature local, regional or national acts each month and we try to bring you the very very best available," said Teddy Adams of the Coastal Jazz Association. "Phil Morrison has played with a lot of very very good people."
