SC Military Base Task Force makes $50,000 donation

BEAUFORT, SC (WTOC) -

South Carolina's Military Base Task Force gave $50,000 to the Beaufort military community on Monday.

It's just part of a $200,000 base preservation funding statewide. The money was distributed during a press conference at 2:30 p.m. at the Beaufort Regional Chamber of Commerce.

Officials from the military base task force were there along with local chamber and military policy officials. The task force was created through an executive order by former Gov. Mark Sanford and reconstituted by an executive order of Gov. Nikki Haley.
