SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -
Most Rev. Gregory J.
Hartmayer, the Catholic Bishop of Savannah, will celebrate a Mass for the
election of a Pope Tuesday at noon at the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist.
Prayers will be
offered during Mass that the Holy Spirit give the College of Cardinals wisdom
and discernment as they vote for the new Pope.
Bishop Hartmayer
has asked pastors throughout the 90-county Diocese of Savannah to offer Masses
for the election of a Pope in their own parishes.
The Cathedral of
St. John the Baptist is located at 222 E. Harris St. in downtown Savannah. All
are welcome to attend.
