Board to give input for roadway enhancements

BEAUFORT CO., SC (WTOC) -

Beaufort County is working to give visually improve roads in the southern portion of the county.

The Island Packet reports that US 278 is just one of the highways the group is hoping to make more attractive. The board is not expected to spend any money, but to offer input on landscape, architecture and lighting.

The board will consist of nine members - one from each of the central and southern districts plus representative nominated by Bluffton and Hilton Head Island Town Councils.
