SCMPD investigate fatal shooting on West Bay Street.
SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -
Savannah-Chatham Metro Police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man Wednesday morning on West Bay Street.
Downtown Precinct officers responded at about 1:03 a.m. to a report of a shooting in the 1300 block of Bay Street. They found a 33-year-old man shot dead. He was lying face down and appeared to have been shot in the head, according to the police report.
WTOC talked with several
people who said they each heard four shots fired.
"I heard four
shots from something that sounded like a revolver. Four shots - I heard, and
then I went back to my room and turned the lights off, you know, with bullets
around," said witness Louis Hall.
No suspects have been
named in the case. The man's identity has not yet been released pending notification of family members.
