COBB COUNTY, GA (CBS46) -

Cobb County police are investigating after a man allegedly ‘hog tied' children in a home in Powder Springs.

Police said several forms of physical abuse happened between Dec. 15, 2013 and March 7, 2013 in a home along Meadows Lake Trail.

Officers said Sean Sterling tied an 8-year-old and 14-year-old's feet together behind their back, and laid them on the floor as punishment.

The children were also bound to a chair with duct tape at times, according to officers.

On several occasions, the 8-year-old was locked in a second room for an extended period of time. The child was forced to use the bathroom on the floor, according to Cobb County police reports.

Sterling was charged with false imprisonment and cruelty to children.

The suspect is currently out of jail on $75,000 bond.

The children are now in state care.
