One month later, tornado debris clean-up continues

HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) -

More than a month has passed since the February 10 tornado and the debris clean-up continues.

According to Public Works Director, John Brown, city and county crews have picked up about 20,000 cubic yards of debris. While that is a good amount, Brown says there is now a lot of construction debris to deal with.

Browns says it will take approximately one more month to clean up all the debris, and encourage residents and volunteers to play a part in helping out with the process.

City trucks will be picking up construction debris on Mondays and Wednesdays, and vegetative debris on Fridays and Saturdays.
