A mother and her three children are recovering after a fire damaged their Guyton home.
It happened earlier this week at a home on Poplar Street. They all made it out of the fire, but the mother suffered burns and was taken to Memorial University Medical Center. She said the fire will put her out of work for some time.
This is not the first time she has lost her home.
"The first time I lost my home to bad weather. That time, I lost everything. This time, I don't really know," said Kijuana Smart.
Family members walked through the home and said that most of the items were damaged by smoke.
The American Red Cross is helping the family by providing food and clothing.
