HAAF to hold news conference on five killed in helicopter crash
SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -
Hunter Army Airfield will be holding a news conference at 11 a.m. Friday on the helicopter crash that killed five from the 3rd CAB in Afghanistan. They will be releasing information on how they are helping the families of the fallen and their fellow soldiers through this difficult time.
According to officials, the remains of the fallen arrived at Dover Air Force Base Wednesday night. They were received by the Army Vice Chief of Staff, surviving family members and representatives from the 3rd ID.
On Friday, Maj. Gen. Abrams will hold a memorial service in Afghanistan to honor the memory of the five who were killed.
