HAAF holds news conference on fatal helicopter crash

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

Hunter Army Airfield holds a news conference on the helicopter crash that killed five from the 3rd CAB in Afghanistan.

They released details on how they are helping the families of the fallen and their fellow soldiers through the difficult time.

According to officials, the remains of the fallen soldiers arrived at Dover Air Force Base Wednesday night. They were received by the Army Vice Chief of Staff, surviving family members and representatives from the 3rd ID.

Maj. Gen. Robert "Abe" Abrams is holding a memorial service Friday in Afghanistan to honor the memory of the five who were killed.
