REIDSVILLE, GA (WTOC) -

Friends and co-workers of Tattnall County chief deputy Jamie Smiley have planned a fundraising carnival to help Smiley's six year old son, Micah. Doctors recently diagnosed Micah with lymphoma, a form of cancer.

"Miracles of Micah" will take place from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday in the Veterans Memorial Park in downtown Reidsville. It will include inflatable jumps, live music, patrol cars, fire trucks and other displays as well as games and food.

"The response has just been great," noted Raymond Bradley of the Tattnall County Sheriff's Office. "Tattnall County is like one big family when someone is in need."

The day includes a 5k race at 4 p.m. For more information about the month-long campaign to help the Smileys, visit https://www.facebook.com/pages/Miracles-for-Micah/183271055130330?fref=ts.
