Metro Police are investigating a shooting that occurred Saturday morning.
The
shooting happened at about 2:47 a.m. Saturday. Sam Barnes, 47, told police he
was walking on Barnard Street near West 32nd Street when two men in
a silver Toyota Scion drove up and one of the men started shooting at him.
About
40 minutes later, Central Precinct officers were called to a house in the 4700
block of Herty Drive in Sylvan Terrace subdivision where a silver Scion had
crashed into the back yard. Police said two males were removed from the wreckage
and taken to Memorial University Medical Center.
SCMPD
Violent Crimes detectives are investigating whether the shooting was connected to
a crash across town.
Barnes
was taken to Memorial University Medical Center for treatment of injuries.
