Adjutants are working hard to keep the 2013 St. Patrick's Day parade moving, but there is the occasional pause.
And that's when bands take the opportunity to entertain the crowd.
Several bands have been stopped for up to five minutes at a time, including Jenkins High School. They broke out into a freestyle performance, dancing and playing to the crowd, which erupted in applause and cheers.
That's been the case for many bands trying to make the most of a slow-moving parade. But none have managed to get such a lively response.
