The Archaeobus arrived at Armstrong Atlantic State University for their Digging Savannah program
SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -
The Coastal Empire
getting a chance to learn about archaeology.
On Monday, the Society for Georgia Archaeology's Mobile Classroom
- the Archaeobus arrived at Armstrong Atlantic State University for their Digging
Savannah program.
The bus travels
through the state offering programming for both students and the public. They
hope the mobile classroom will help preserve the state's past - with a hands on
experience.
"One thing is - kids really react to a big bus
and being able to get out of the classroom. There are certain aspects to
archeology that you can't get out of a textbook or on a chalkboard," said
archeologist Scott Morris.
The bus is free and open to the public.

the Archaeobus website.
