SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -
Savannah-Chatham Metro Police arrested nearly 80 people
during the St. Patrick's Day festivities.
Seventy-nine people
were charged. Two people were charged with felonies, 70 were charged with
misdemeanors and seven were cited for city ordinance violations. Some of the
charges included - disorderly conduct, possession of a controlled substance,
public intoxication, simple assault, swimming in the Savannah River and giving
a false name.
Sixty-eight suspects were transported to the Chatham County
Detention Center. Six taken to court and three were released on subpoena.
