Two teams from Appling County High School placed first and third in the Georgia Envirothon South competition over the weekend.
The annual contest challenges high school students on their knowledge of environmental issues. This means that both teams have qualified for the state competition in April.
Appling Team 1 placed first in all five contests that test participants' knowledge of aquatics, forestry, soils, rangeland management and wildlife.
