Man wanted in connection with fatal shooting

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

Savannah-Chatham Metro Police Dept.'s homicide investigators are seeking a 28-year-old man in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred Saturday morning.

Police said John Antonio Smith is wanted on charges of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and fleeing to elude.  

Police said Sidney Grant was fatally shot outside Club Frozen on Indian Street. He was found dead in the street at about 2 a.m. by responding Downtown Precinct patrol officers.

Smith is 5' 6" tall and weighs about 200 pounds. He has short-to-medium hair and may or may not have a slight moustache. Detectives are also looking to talk to him about the shooting.
