SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -
A bizarre scene in a Savannah neighborhood Monday evening.
Neighbors say a woman driving a Jeep along Inglewood drive somehow exited her vehicle, while it was still in motion causing it to crash down the road into a nearby tree. Neighbors say it seemed as though the woman was impaired and they weren't sure if she jumped out of the vehicle or she simply lost control. They are just thankful no children were out playing at the time of the crash.
"Sounded like a tree falling," said Chad Kahea."I walk out of my house and I see a vehicle in the tree. Watched the car and I saw the lady is on the ground being helped up by everybody else. She is bleeding. God forbid any kid get hit by a drunk driver, in the neighborhood."
No word yet on the condition of the driver or if she faces any charges.
