Pedestrian struck by SUV in Bluffton

BLUFFTON, SC (WTOC) -

Authorities in the Lowcountry say a woman was hit by an SUV around 10:15 Monday morning at the intersection of Goethe and May River roads in Bluffton.

Police say Thomascenna Grant was walking in the designated crosswalk when she was struck.

The driver of the SUV, Stacey Dugger, was issued a citation for failure to yield. Grant was taken to a hospital and is expected to be ok.
