Man identified in Garden City shooting

A man was shot in the chest late Monday night at a Garden City apartment.

GARDEN CITY, GA (WTOC) -

Garden City police have released the name of a man who was shot in the chest just before 11 p.m. Monday.

Police said Cedric M. McFadden, 27, who lives on Devane Street, was shot at the Plantation Townhouses off on Denmark Street.

Police said McFadden opened the door and was shot and that didn't know the assailant. He was taken to Memorial University Medical Center and has been through surgery.

A man who repairs water towers collapsed more than 100 feet in the air above Cobbtown. Fire and rescue crews had to climb to the top of the tower and lower him to safety.
