
Voters in South Carolina's First Congressional District are casting their ballots in the primary to replace now U.S. Sen. Tim Scott.
Right now, there are 16 Republican fighting for the nomination and two on Democratic candidates. The primary will clear out the race. The next step will be a runoff and then an election.
The primary is the first time voters will be required to show a photo ID to vote. Acceptable forms of photo identification include: a South Carolina driver's license; a voter registration card with a photo; a federal military ID; a U.S. passport or an identification card issued by the department of motor vehicles.
