Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police are investigating a fatal shooting that took place in the 1900 block of East 54th Street Wednesday afternoon.
Achmed Kiwaan Williams, 27, of Savannah, was sitting on the front porch of a house when he was approached by at least one gunman and shot multiple times. He was later pronounced dead at Memorial University Medical Center.
According to authorities, Williams had a long record with SCMPD extending to 2004, including violent crimes.
Homicide detectives are continuing to investigate the shooting.
