A teacher from Effingham County High School is being recognized as one of the top six outstanding agricultural education teachers in the U.S.

Dr. Freddie Waltz received a two-year lease on a new 2013 Toyota Tundra for his hard work and dedication to his students. Waltz says he plans to use the truck to drive his young farmers to various career development events.

"It's great. It's a real honor and certainly I contribute that to the group of folks that I work with here in Effingham County. If it had not been for them, this would not have been possible." said Waltz.

Each year, Toyota honors agriculture educators for their commitment to educating students on the importance of the agricultural industry. The two-year vehicle lease was presented through a sponsorship with the National FFA Organization.
