Police seek Camden Co. attempted abduction suspect

CAMDEN CO., GA (WTOC) -

Authorities in Camden County are asking that the public be on the lookout for a Chevrolet sports van, black faded/primer looking color, no side windows, no side door, two window on rear of van with yellowish/white blinds.

Police say the van will have rust along the bottom on the back rear door, and also scratches on top of rear doors and rusty bumpers. The van may be driven by a while male in his late 30s to early 40s with black hair that is shorter in the front and longer in the back. He may also have a goatee or short facial hair. He is of a thin  build and was last seen wearing a brown leather jacket and green shirt.

According to police, the subject was last seen in the area of Oakridge Court aboard Kings Bay Sub Base on Monday. Police say he approached an 11-year-old boy and tried to get him to come into his van by telling the child that his mother had sent him to pick him up. Police have received several reported sightings of the van but none of them have been confirmed.
