SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

Four people have been arrested following an investigation conducted by the Chatham-Savannah Counter Narcotics Team.

CNT began investigating Donald West Jr., 53, and Shane Simon, 26, earlier this month after receiving information that both persons were selling prescription drugs. During the investigation, authorities identified West and Simon as the leaders of a distribution ring involving several other persons. They also learned that West and Simon recently obtained a number of Oxycodone pills, a Schedule II drug used to treat moderate to severe pain.

On March 20, undercover agents conducted a surveillance operation of West and Simon. They observed the males meeting with two additional persons expected to be involved in the conspiracy. Agents made contact will everyone involved and seized 59 Oxycodone pills. The two additional person were identified as Jason Woodward, 32, and Stephanie Murphy, 30.

West, Simon, Woodward and Murphy have all been charged with conspiracy to sell a controlled substance (Oxycodone). Woodward and Murphy have also been charged with reckless conduct because a juvenile child was present during the drug transaction.

All four remain in the Chatham County Detention Center following their arraignment in Recorders Court. This marks West's 22nd arrest in Chatham County and his 8th CNT arrest.

According to authorities, the Oxycodone seized has an estimated street value of up to $1,770.
