CHATHAM CO., GA (WTOC) -

Two felons were arrested Tuesday morning after the community provided leads to the Chatham-Savannah Counter Narcotics Team.

On Monday, CNT asked for the public's help in locating 40-year-old Robert Holbrook Owen and 42-year-old Robyn Whatley.

CNT had originally believed Robert Owen was Ashley Owen due to Robert Owen providing identification stating he was Ashley Owen, according to the CNT. CNT then confirmed Robert Owen's true identity and learned he had used his brother's identity.

CNT also has learned Robert Owen was recently arrested on drug charges earlier in March in Chatham County and gave a false name during that arrest, according to the CNT.

CNT received several phone calls from the public. CNT with the help of Savannah-Chatham Metro Police found Robert Owen and Whatley at a hotel on Abercorn Street early Tuesday morning. They were taken into custody without incident.

They are being held at the Chatham County Detention Center and are expected to be arraigned sometime Wednesday.

More charges expected to be made against Robert Owen for falsifying his information.
