SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

An accused child predator appeared in court Tuesday. Investigators say the case is bigger than they thought.

Jesse Sikes, 23, was denied bond after police say he posed as a teenager on Facebook and solicited a 12-year-old girl for sex. Investigators say there may be more victims.

According to police, Sikes has a criminal history, including a DUI charge on Tybee and a charge of disorderly conduct in Thunderbolt, where he was found with two underage females.

"The police with the Thunderbolt incident say he was found with two underage females, where it was believed he was obtaining marijuana for and doing whatever with then. So we think not only is he likely to commit another crime, this incident is a little bigger than what we started with," said an attorney with the Chatham County District Attorney's Office.

Sikes was denied bond on Tuesday. Anyone with any additional information is asked to call Crimestoppers.
