A Hinesville woman was killed in a collision in Fleming.
FLEMING, GA (WTOC) -
A woman driving a minivan was killed Wednesday afternoon in a wreck involving a truck.
The wreck happened on Ga. Highway 196. A minivan driven by 27-year-old Danielle Woods, of Hinesville, was headed westbound on Hwy 196. A dump truck was headed northbound on Pate Rogers Road. Woods was killed and toddler girl was taken to an area hospital, according to the Georgia State Patrol.
The condition of the toddler was unavailable, but she was alert and aware of what had happened as of Wednesday.
The truck driver is the at-fault driver for failure to yield to oncoming traffic, but charges are pending until the investigation is complete, according to GSP.
The Georgia State Patrol Specialized Collision Reconstruction Team is investigating the crash. Results of the investigation could take as long as six months to a year.
