CNT to hold news conference on large drug bust

Posted: Updated:
SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

Chatham-Savannah Counter Narcotics Team will be holding a new conference April 4 to discuss a recent drug operation that resulted in multiple arrests and a large seizure of drugs, guns and money.

CNT began investigating suspected drug activity at a residence in West Savannah in February 2013. Undercover agents identified several persons of interest and identified a second residence connected to the drug activity.

CNT, with the assistance of the Savannah-Chatham Metro Police Department and Chatham County Sheriff's Office K-9 Unit, executed search warrants at the two residences on March 28, which resulted in the arrests of multiple people and a large seizure of cocaine, guns and U.S. currency.

The CNT news conference will take place at 10 a.m. April 4 at the Thomas C. Sprague Complex in Savannah.
