Stonebridge golf course was buzzing this after as pro golfer Josh Broadaway returned home for his 11th annual Cross Handed Classic.
Broadaway usually holds his tournament to support some of his funding as a pro but his recent successes has allowed him to give more back to charities and this year the money raised will support the American Cancer Society.
42 teams signed up raising over 5,000 dollars. The event wasn't only contained to the golf course though, this year Broadaway introduced a "guitars and golf" theme with several bands performing at the State Theatre in downtown Albany.
"We had a huge turnout. This is the most teams we've ever had and I'm not sure if it's just the charity or because I get a lot of support here in town. Even though I don't live here anymore its still my home. I get to see guys I only see for this event but they keep coming back and I cant thank them enough its been awesome and I want to keep growing it," said Broadaway.
He also added that he wishes to expand the Classic to two days next year.
