Police investigate suspicious car dealership fire in Savannah

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

An investigation is under way into a suspicious overnight vehicle fire at a Savannah used car dealership that authorities are calling suspicious. 

It happened around 12:30 a.m. Wednesday at K & L Auto Sales on Montgomery St. near W 56th St. Metro police along with Savannah Fire responded to the scene to find several cars had somehow caught fire on the dealership lot. 

Investigators taped off the area and police closed a portion of 56th St. The road has since reopened.

WTOC reported seeing 25 vehicles on the lot Wednesday morning, 2 with visible damage. Officials have not said exactly how many cars were damaged. No injuries have been reported.

The fire is under investigation.
