SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

Savannah-Chatham Metro Police Violent Crimes detectives continue to investigate and early-morning shooting in Tremont Park.

Police said Jameer Riley, 22, barged into a house on the 2100 block of Dodge Avenue seeking help at 3:51 a.m. after being shot. He was taken to Memorial University Medical Center for treatment and surgery. 

Several houses were hit by gunfire and some weapons were recovered.

SCMPD's West Chatham Precinct patrol officers responded to report of a shooting on Ford Avenue and found the victim a block away in a house.

Detectives are investigating whether there's a link between the shooting and a white Chevrolet Impala found wrecked on Tremont Avenue.
