HILTON HEAD ISLAND, SC (WTOC) -

The Beaufort County Sheriff's Office is investigating an armed robbery that took place in the North Forest Beach area Thursday night.

At approximately 10 p.m. Thursday, sheriff's deputies met with an 18-year-old male victim who reported being robbed at gunpoint by two unknown black males and a Hispanic female.

The victim, who is in the area on vacation, told police that he and a female friend left the Comfort Inn at approximately 9:30 p.m. to put gas in their vehicle. The female stayed at the gas station and pumped the gas while the victim went across the street to the Beach Market.

The victim says he went to the Beach Market to buy t-shirts and to meet with a female subject that he met a few days prior and arranged to purchase marijuana from. The victim waited in the Beach Market parking lot until the female subject drove up in a white older model Honda Accord.

According to the victim's report, two males pulled the victim into the back of the car, pointed a gun at his face, and emptied his pockets, taking a cell phone and an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspects pushed the victim out of the car and fled the scene. The victim was left unharmed. The victim then ran back to his vehicle and returned to the Comfort Inn, where he and his friend called law enforcement.

The suspects are described as dark-skinned black males between the ages of 20 and 25. One of the suspects is approximately 6'0", 160 lbs and the other is 6'3", 200 lbs. The driver of the suspect vehicle is described as a Hispanic female between the ages of 18 and 20. She is approximately 5'3", 120 lbs.
