PEMBROKE, GA (WTOC) -

A motorcycle group for law enforcement brought their traveling memorial for law officers to Pembroke as they formally added the name of a fallen Bryan County sheriff's deputy.

Sgt. Bobby Crapse was killed in a head-on crash on Interstate 95 in September 2012. The driver awaits trial on vehicular homicide charges.

The Blue Knights of Georgia remember Georgia officers by placing their name on a portable trailer painted with names. The oldest dates back to the 1790's. Officers from the Knights' Area 8 in Southeast Georgia led the trailer into Pembroke for the dedication. Loved ones pulled back a paper cover to reveal Crapse name.

"It's emotional," said Sgt. Joey Waters, Crapse's uncle and BCSO co-worker. "It brings back memories of him for so many. It hasn't been a year yet but that will be soon."

The memorial will be on display in Port Wentworth Sunday afternoon at 3:30 at the Island Grill on Ga. Hwy. 21 near Interstate 95.
