The Savannah Airport Commission
Wednesday announced that Patrick S. Graham, executive director of Savannah/Hilton
Head International Airport is retiring.
Assistant Executive Director
Gregory B. Kelly will serve as the acting executive director starting July 1.
Graham began working with the
Savannah Airport Commission in 1985. He has been its executive director since Jan.
During his 28-year tenure, Graham
was responsible for many major capital projects, including the design and
construction of the new airport terminal in the northwest quadrant of the
airport, which ran from May 1992-1994. The cost was $68.4 million.
Graham has served as president of
Visit Savannah, chairman of the Savannah Area Chamber of Commerce, president of
Leadership Savannah and several other civic boards and positions.
"On behalf of all the Commissioners
I would like to thank Mr. Graham for his twenty-eight years of dedicated
service to the Airport and for his steadfast leadership" said Savannah Airport
Commission Chairman Sylvester Formey, in a statement.
