5 men charged with sexual exploitation of a child

EFFINGHAM CO., GA (WTOC) -

Five people were arrested Wednesday by the Effingham County Sheriff's Office Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force after executing five search warrants.

Early Wednesday morning, deputies conducted search warrants at homes at Ash Street Extension in Springfield; 100 block of Neva Avenue, Savannah, 200 block of E. State Street in Savannah, 2000 block of Shirley Drive, Savannah, and the 900 block of Abercorn Road in Savannah.

Joshua Conner, 26, Dale Andrew Davis, 21, of Savannah, Soufi Mahmoud, 25, of Savannah, Jose Gomez, 27, all of Savannah and William Oldfield, 34, of Springfield, are charged with sexual exploitation of a child.

The men had images of children 11 years old or younger, according to the ECSO.

During the search, the sheriff's office seized 10 desk top computers, three laptops, a tablet, six cell phones and five gaming consoles. They are being held at the Effingham County Jail.
