BLUFFTON, SC (WTOC) -

Bluffton police have released new crime data.

The town's crime rates so far in 2013 are mixed, the Island Packet reports.

Some offenses, including rape, are on the rise. Among other Part I offenses, there were no homicides, which remained unchanged from the prior three-year average. There were three robberies, that's up from 1.33 compared to the three-year average. There have been 11 aggravated assaults so far this year, that's up from six from the three-year average.

The new crime report was presented last week to the Bluffton Town Council last week. It compares crime rates in the first three months of 2013 to the average rate for the same months in the past three years.
