VIDALIA, GA (WTOC) -

Officers in Toombs County arrested a man wanted for murder outside Augusta on Tuesday.

Richmond County sheriff's investigators tracked Steven Allen, 52, of Blythe, by his cell phone to Vidalia. Toombs County sheriff's deputies and Vidalia police narrowed the search to the Walmart parking lot. Sheriff Alvie Kight said they took Allen into custody without incident and recovered a 9mm handgun inside Allen's truck.

Authorities were looking for Allen in connection with the shooting that killed a woman and wounded two others in Richmond County. They later identified the deceased as Linda Crumbley and the two other victims as her children, Dekrizia Crumbley and Mario Crumbley. The shootings happened at Biltmore Place outside Augusta around 10 a.m. Tuesday. Allen was arrested in Vidalia around 2 p.m.

Investigators took Allen, his truck and the seized gun back to Richmond County. Local authorities believe Allen came to Vidalia to meet a women he'd met online. They arrested her for questioning to determine if she had any prior knowledge of the shootings.
