BLUFFTON, SC (WTOC) -

The Beaufort County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help to identify someone who is believed to have used a stolen credit card in Bluffton.

A 45-year old woman who works at World Market reported that her credit card had been used without her authorization. She said she realized her wallet was missing from her purse upon leaving work on the night of March 20. She believes her wallet had been stolen from her purse in the break room at work, where employees store their stuff while working, according to the BCSO.

The store's video surveillance footage showed that earlier in the day, an unidentified black male came into the store and went into the break room, which is an employee-only restricted area. The video captured the man leaving the store a short time later.

Within minutes of the theft, the same suspect was captured on video of the Walgreen's on  Simmonsville Road where the stolen credit card was used to buy a $500 prepaid Visa card. Investigators have been unable to identify the suspect. Anyone with information to contact either Investigator Cpl. D. Nelson at 843.255.3412 or CrimeStoppers.

MAKE THE CALL, STAY ANONYMOUS, EARN a REWARD: To report crime, citizens can call CrimeStoppers at 1.888.CRIME.SC (274.6372) or text the word TIPSC with a message to CRIMES (274637).
