STATESBORO, GA (WTOC) -

Hundreds hit the streets of Georgia Southern to help those who serve our country.

Runners took part in the 4th annual Crawl Walk Run sponsored by the university's ROTC. The 5k and 10k races help raise money for military projects at Georgia Southern including the Snacks for Soldiers Project that serves deployed units.

"Each year, we send an average of 100 boxes to deployed troops and that's something that's appreciated when you're that far from home," said Cadet Jordan Bailey

More than 400 hundred runners took part including our WTOC's Cal Cannady, who announced the winners.
