Students at the Savannah College of Art and Design are learning how the changing atmosphere could impact the food they eat.
The Bon Appetit Management Co. is hosting the sixth annual Low-Carbon Diet Day - celebrating Earth Day.
In year's past, the program has looked at how diet affects the environment. Chefs showed SCAD students several low-carbon diets as part of the event.
"Were focused on making things from scratch were working on sustainability - were working on all these different things that we can make a positive on our environment - and a positive as we move forward," said Eric Davidson, of Bon Appetit Management Co.
Low-carbon meals are incorporated into the school's menu throughout the year - not just on low-carbon day.
