Food delivery driver robbed in Statesboro

STATESBORO, GA (WTOC) -

Two men are sought by Statesboro police after a Jimmy Johns food delivery truck driver was robbed early Monday morning.

Statesboro police were called to The Cove at Southern on a robbery report.

The victim was delivering food to an apartment at The Cove when a man in a hoodie and wearing something over his face force the victim into a vacant apartment. The apartment was dark and the victim told police there was at least one other male in the apartment.

The suspects took cash from the victim then shut the victim in a room in the apartment and left. After the suspects left, the victim ran to a nearby apartment and had the residents call police.

One of the suspects is described as a black male who is about 6' 2" tall.

The victim said no weapons were displayed by the suspects and that they did not claim to have weapons, according to police. The victim was not injured.
