Fla. man buys winning $2.5M lottery ticket in Hinesville

A winning Georgia Lottery instant ticket with a multimillion-dollar top prize was sold in Liberty County.

The winning ticket worth $2.5 million was for the Millionaire Jumbo Bucks game.

The ticket was sold at Hinesville Station at 1046 W. Oglethorpe Highway in Hinesville. Stanley Carlton, of Perry, Fla., was the winning ticketholder. He claimed his prize recently at the Georgia Lottery District Office in Savannah.

In 2011, that same Hinesville Station location sold another instant ticket with a top prize of a seven-night vacation package for two on a Royal Caribbean cruise, according to the Georgia Lottery.
