It isn't every day your boss feeds you steak for lunch.
On Wednesday, Savannah-Chatham Metro Police Chief Willie Lovett delivered some hearty appreciation to dispatchers. The chief said he wanted to serve the men and women who work around the clock at the dispatch unit. He said described them as the high-stress, quick thinking, communication side of his department.
The lunch was provided as a token of his respect for the job they do day and night - day after day.
"They give so much to us and I can never repay them for all the hard work and dedication they put in and day and night," Lovett said. "I really appreciate it."
