Radio host Mark Robertson fills in at dentist office

Posted: Updated:

Wednesday is Administrative Professionals Day - an unofficial holiday observed on Wednesday of the last week in April.

Radio host Mark Robertson from 98.7 The River filled in for Toni Leary, an office manager at a local dentist office. He learned all about the duties she performs every day, which includes operating computers, answering phone calls and even walking the boss' dogs.

"It's great fun, this is a very close knit office. They can't keep a secret, I've learned that. But they love each other and they work hard and she's a deserving woman, so, I think this is great fun. She's going to have a day off to not have to worry about a dental office and just care for herself for one day," Robertson said.

"I appreciate that my boss did this for me and that we were chosen. I love what I do, I love my job and I have a great boss and a great office staff. I enjoy every minute of it," Leary said.

While Robertson was filling in for Leary - she got to go get a massage.

Robertson also said some customers might have received a few extra discounts while he was running things - and he even added an interesting appointment for one of our reporters.

"Don Logana is coming in next week to have bling in his grill. OK, he doesn't know it yet, but we're going to come back and watch it, I want to see the diamonds in there," Robertson joked.

Logana said he's not planning on making it to that particular appointment.
