District 2 and 3 school board representatives for Chatham County Public Schools gathered Wednesday night to discuss the futures of the schools. The theme of the meeting was "Where does a good education take you?" Discussions included safety, security and neighborhood growth. It is the second time District 2 and 3 met together to encourage community input.
"I'm hoping to see partnership. I am hoping to see new ideas that maybe we haven't thought of before. I'm hoping to see partners come to the table who have maybe been sitting on the sidelines thinking maybe I don't know what to do or if I should do something. I'm hoping they come forward, they see Mrs. Hall, they see me and say I'm in, what can I do?" said Dionne Hoskins, District 2 representative.
The meeting was open to the public and the school board encouraged the community to come out and share their opinions.
