Each year, the Chatham County Seniors and Law Enforcement Together Council hosts the Consumer College.
Topics covered include: financial abuse and financial crimes against seniors. Participants must register by April 26. To register, call 912.644.5968 to register.
The event brings together law enforcement, seniors and the community to educate the consumer on how to reduce crimes and frauds against older adults.
The event is free for Chatham County seniors ages 55 and older. A continental breakfast and lunch are provided.
SALT's 12th annual Consumer College will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 9 at the Hellenic Community Center at 14 W. Anderson St.
